About This Event
Bands in Parks performs at Brisbane City Hall The Brisbane Regional Youth Orchestra takes to the stage with a blockbuster program of light classics and movie themes. There will be afternoon tea and scones available for purchase as well as wine and cheese packs. Make it an afternoon out – invite family and friends for an afternoon at City Hall. The concert is free but if you would like to sit and sip with a glass of wine and cheese plate, or enjoy afternoon tea and cake, then it’s just $10 per person. As a Father’s Day special, you’ll also be able to purchase a Father’s Day Pie Plate with classic steak and Guinness pies, mash, mushy peas and Beer. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Wynnum Manly Jazz Festival
A "Free -to-the-Public" day of jazz music by community and professional Jazz Bands including, Galapagos Duck. Bring a picnic blanket, or a chair or two, settle in and relax for the day. Food is available on-site.
Brisbane Serbian Festival
The Brisbane Serbian Festival is a one day event intended to demonstrate Serbian culture, values and traditions to the wider Australian community. The day will consist of folkloric dance group performances, light hearted audience engagement competitions, food stalls, kids activities and live music. Magic Globe: A Story of the Seasons is an animated adventure that is perfect for engaging children from 5 to 12 years old. On vacation at her grandpa’s, a little girl named Mia accidentally discovers a mysterious piece of astronomical machinery. Edmund, Mia’s eccentric uncle, tricks the girl into using the tool’s secret powers to change the world’s seasons. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors.
