Be transported to a soft and cosy woodland, right out of a picture book, where each new season is full of natural wonders waiting to be discovered by young, inquisitive minds. Enjoy an engaging and interactive story by the campfire before embarking on your own sensory exploration of the woods.
Tailor made for audiences aged 0-3 and filled with performance, puppetry and play ‘What’s In The Woods?’ is a gentle welcome to the world of theatre. Runtime: Approximately 45 minutes, 20 minutes of performance and 25 minutes of play in the space. The 'What's In The Woods?' sessions are split into 3 age groups running at various times: 0-1 years, 1-2 years and 2-3 years. Accessibility: Wheelchair accessible, Baby Changing Facilities provided onsite and in space. Pram parking available. Carer resources available. Breakout space available. What's in the Woods? has been developed as part of the new Backbone Theatre for Babies program, developed with company-in-residence Brymore Productions. Backbone Theatre for Babies has been assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, it’s arts funding and advisory body.

Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! Children’s storytime in the park - Pallara Park, Pallara
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.

Gumtree Kids Messy Play at New Farm Park - Easter theme (babies only)
Join us for a messy, fun and creative themed messy play experience! At Gumtree Kids, little hands are encouraged to explore, create and play freely through thoughtfully designed sensory stations and open-ended play. Each session is themed, hands-on and full of textures, colours and imagination - all set up for children to enjoy at their own pace. Perfect for curious babies, toddlers and preschoolers, our sessions are suitable for ages 6 months to early walkers, with a relaxed, welcoming environment for families to connect, play and make memories together. AMPLIFY ME! Outdoor Gallery Tour: Autism Awareness Day

AMPLIFY ME! is an exhibition that celebrates local artists with lived experience of disability, showcasing powerful creative voices across Brisbane’s Outdoor Gallery. Meet the artists and curator behind AMPLIFY ME! as we explore selected works from this exhibition, honouring neurodivergent perspectives in contemporary art. Listen to insights into their practice and process directly from the artists, and hear from curator Nicole Crosswell about the development of AMPLIFY ME! and the significance of centring lived experience within Brisbane’s Outdoor Gallery program. Free guided tour - Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha
Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
