Join other like-minded volunteers to help protect and restore Brisbane’s unique biodiversity through our Habitat Brisbane program.
Whatever your skill level and motivation, joining your local Habitat Brisbane group is a great way to connect to nature and be active and healthy, all while meeting new people, developing new skills and making a difference to your local environment. With 160 groups across the city there’s bound to be one near you! Due to the nature and needs of the Wetlands, the volunteer work revolves around identifying invasive weeds and removing them after establishing the best way to deal with individual weed species. This allows the natural seed bank in the soil to regenerate. The Boondall Wetlands Bushcare Group meet up on most Fridays (except public holidays).

Join other like-minded volunteers to help protect and restore Brisbane’s unique biodiversity through our Habitat Brisbane program. Whatever your skill level and motivation, joining your local Habitat Brisbane group is a great way to connect to nature and be active and healthy, all while meeting new people, developing new skills and making a difference to your local environment. With 160 groups across the city there’s bound to be one near you! Habitat Brisbane volunteers undertake a variety of activities including: managing environmental weeds revegetating with local native plants creating habitat for native wildlife citizen science projects.The Perrin Creek & Seven Hills Bushland Rehabilitation Group meet every Tuesday and every Friday, and the second Saturday of the month 7.30-10am. Location: Seven Hills Bushland Reserve, 508 Darcy Road, Seven Hills.

Whatever your skill level and motivation, joining your local Habitat Brisbane group is a great way to connect to nature and be active and healthy, all while meeting new people, developing new skills and making a difference to your local environment. With 160 groups across the city there’s bound to be one near you! Habitat Brisbane volunteers undertake a variety of activities including: managing environmental weeds revegetating with local native plants creating habitat for native wildlife citizen science projects.The Mackenzie Bushcare Group meet every Wednesday morning 8-10am in the warmer months, and 8.30-10.30am in the cooler months.
