There are close to 1000 species of figs in the world!Each wild fig species has a special relationship with a specific wasp species.Join us on a special walk through the City Botanic Gardens to find out more fantastic fig facts. You'll be amazed and delighted!Requirements: Please wear a hat, enclosed walking shoes, and be sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen.Meeting point: Meet at the Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology's Main Drive pathway).

Listen to insights into their practice and process directly from the artists and hear from curator Nicole Crosswell about the development of AMPLIFY ME! and the significance of centring lived experience within Brisbane's Outdoor Gallery program.Take a leisurely walk and gain a deeper understanding of how creativity and self-expression can help amplify perspectives within the community.Everyone is welcome, although bookings are essential. Have a larger group? Gathering presents Nana Magic's Deadly Adventures.Join us for Nana Magic's Deadly Adventures, a vibrant and engaging children's performance created by acclaimed First Nations artist Uraine Roelofs.A proud Kokatha Mirning and Greek woman from Ceduna on South Australia's Far West Coast, Uraine is an accomplished performer, producer, director, and writer with a strong background in theatre. Alongside presenting her own creative works, she collaborates on a range of community theatre projects that celebrate storytelling, culture, and connection.Through the enchanting world of Nana Magic, young audiences are invited on a journey that highlights the importance of caring for Country, protecting native wildlife and waterways, and looking after one another.
