AMPLIFY ME! is an exhibition that celebrates local artists with lived experience of disability, showcasing powerful creative voices across Brisbane’s Outdoor Gallery. Meet the artists and curator behind AMPLIFY ME! as we explore selected works from this exhibition, honouring neurodivergent perspectives in contemporary art. Listen to insights into their practice and process directly from the artists, and hear from curator Nicole Crosswell about the development of AMPLIFY ME! and the significance of centring lived experience within Brisbane’s Outdoor Gallery program. Take a leisurely walk, hear personal stories, and gain a deeper understanding of how creativity and self-expression can help amplify perspectives within the community. Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size.
