About This Event
Gatheirng presents Bingkin Ngugi. Bingkin Ngugi (Dean Tyson) is a story holder, a mundu (didgeridoo) musician/song man and celebrated Goori artist. Bingkin tells of Goori education from traditional dreaming stories and the Lore and also demonstrates cultural artefacts and other tools and weaponry. Bingkin shares knowledge of the Goori way of life & Goori way of thinking, always was and always will be Goori Land. Please join us at the main stage of Queen Street Mall from 12noon-1pm as Bingkin facilitates an exciting workshop of the importance of ochre. This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tive Nations.

Children’s storytime in the park - Rocks Riverside Park, Seventeen Mile Rocks
Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at the City Botanic Gardens. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. The walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour. Walking tours for individuals or small groups (no more than ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size.
