Experience the magic of storytime with your child during a First 5 Forever storytime session in the park at the Pop-up Library. This interactive session includes stories and songs for young children. Ideal for children from birth to five years and their parents or carers. Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! Come and enjoy the great outdoors with your little ones while you move and make music together. You will share a special time with other parents, while helping your little ones learn and grow through musical play and movement. Take home tips for how to keep grooving and creating musical moments at home provided.
Fitness 4 seniors
A combination of cardio, strength and stretching exercises designed to help you increase or maintain your fitness. This is a GOLD event suitable for seniors.
Stretch and mobility
Bookings essential. Increase your flexibility, mobility, balance and range of movement. This class will include stretching and activation exercises designed to lengthen and strengthen your body and posture in a relaxed group setting. Specifically targeted to suit active older adults and those just starting their journey to a fit and healthy lifestyle. This is a GOLD event suitable for seniors.
Free guided tour - Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha
Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.

Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at the City Botanic Gardens. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. The walks are taken at a gentle pace for about one hour. Walking tours for individuals or small groups (no more than ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Location: Meet at the City Botanic Gardens Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology’s Main Drive pathway). Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
Gentle fitness and Tai-chair
Bookings essential. Focus on aerobic fitness, strengthening with light weights, flexibility, coordination and balance followed by relaxation with gentle exercises. The session is performed either seated on a chair or standing while holding onto a chair for stability and support. No floor work. This is a GOLD event suitable for seniors.
