Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. First 5 Forever children's storytime
Experience the magic of storytime with your child at the library. This interactive session includes stories, songs and mark making activities for young children. Ideal for children aged 2-5 years. First 5 Forever is an initiative of the Queensland Government, coordinated by State Library of Queensland and delivered in partnership with local government.
Reading for reconciliation
Improve your knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues and histories. Our group seeks to assist members of the community to start a reconciliation journey through reading and discussing selected texts in an informal and friendly setting. In April, read and discuss Australian Air Campaign Series: First Nation Aviators by RAAF History and Heritage Branch.
Sunday Guided Walks - City Botanic Gardens
Come and explore the magnificent City Botanic Gardens and find out about what makes the City Botanic Gardens so unique within the Australian landscape. Sunday guided walks are led by City Botanic Gardens Volunteer Guides. Requirements: Please wear a hat, enclosed walking shoes, and be sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen. Meeting point: Meet at the Visitor Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology's Main Drive pathway). Cost: Free Age: Suitable for all ages Venue: City Botanic Gardens, 147 Alice St, Brisbane City Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
Brisbane Illustration Fair
Come along to the Brisbane Illustration Fair weekend to celebrate all things Illustration! Featuring 170+ artists over two days showcasing and selling their work!! Meet the artists and share in their love of illustration, zines, comics, printmaking and more! Make a day of it and get creative, have lunch at one of the amazing food trucks and join a workshop! Free guided tour - Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha
Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.

Bookings essential. Everyone will have fun learning or brushing up on your land based fishing skills with the multi-award winning team at 2 Bent Rods All bait, tackle and equipment is provided. This is a GOLD'n'Kids event suitable for seniors and children
English conversation group
This friendly and informal group meets in the library every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Come along to make new friends and improve your English. Learners of all levels are welcome.
