Join other like-minded volunteers to help protect and restore Brisbane’s unique biodiversity through our Habitat Brisbane program.
Whatever your skill level and motivation, joining your local Habitat Brisbane group is a great way to connect to nature and be active and healthy, all while meeting new people, developing new skills and making a difference to your local environment. With 160 groups across the city there’s bound to be one near you!
Habitat Brisbane volunteers undertake a variety of activities including: managing environmental weeds revegetating with local native plants creating habitat for native wildlife citizen science projects.The Kalinga Park Bushcare Group meet on the third Saturday of the month 7-9am.

Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! Children will love this tour of the Solar System through the eyes of a family of aliens on vacation from another star system. Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky.

Brisbane St Patrick’s Day Parade
Join us for a spectacular celebration of Irish culture at the 2025 Brisbane St Patrick’s Day Parade! Immerse yourself in the spirit of Ireland with a day filled with joy, tradition, and entertainment for the entire family. This iconic event will feature over 700 lively participants and an array of over 40 floats, all parading through the heart of Brisbane City. Marvel at the music, dance, and colourful costumes that bring the rich heritage of Ireland to life. The parade commences at the City Botanic Gardens on Alice Street, where it will also conclude after winding its way through the city streets. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to join the community in celebrating Irish culture and enjoying a festive day out in Brisbane. Arrive early to explore the garden markets, featuring live music to set the festive mood. After the parade, stick around and continue the celebrations throughout the city! Cubetto adventure
Meet Cubetto, the friendly wooden robot teaching young children the basics of computer programming through adventure and hands-on play. Made of tactile and hard-wearing wood, Cubettos encourage digital learning without screen time. Ideal for children aged 3-6 years. Come along to share and experience our new robot in a flexible Tinker Table setting. A BNEtechkids workshop.
Ball sports program for kids aged 2-6yrs
Bookings essential. Billy's Buddies is a ball skills program inspired by Billy Slater for children aged 2-6yrs. Each week we play a variety of different games and activities working on hand-eye coordination and gross motor skills.
Aqua aerobics
Experience an excellent, low-impact cross-training workout in the water. Feel the benefits of exercise without the pain. Using minimum impact movements, participants will develop strength, mobility and movement in a fun environment. This class will be conducted in the outdoor 25m/50m pool.
Tinker table
Drop in for some hands-on experimenting with robots and more. Explore STEAM, coding and robotics in an open learning environment. Ideal for children aged 4 years and older.
School holidays: Make and create for kids
Drop into the library to get creative with free art and craft activities. Ideal for children aged 4-12 years and their carers.
Brick builders motion club
Join us for fun, hands-on STEAM challenges to build your own colourful constructions and experiment with forces, motion and interaction. Ideal for children aged 6–12 years.
