Ever wonder how the dishwasher magically loads itself? Or how the farewell card appears at exactly the right time when someone retires? Welcome to the world of She Works Hard For (No) Money — a black comedy that dives headfirst into the chaotic circus of unpaid labour.
From “I don’t know where the towels are kept!” to “Just tell me what to do!”, this show uncovers the comedy and tragedy of weaponised incompetence — the art of pretending not to know, so you don’t have to do the boring stuff. And we’re not naming names, but if the shoe fits (and he can find it), maybe that man in your life needs a wake-up call.
Written by Samantha Hill, this hilariously infuriating comedy of labours will be transplanted into a real office space for the Anywhere Festival. It’ll be just like being at work: you’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and then you’ll stuff yourself with cake…

Clock Tower Tour
Discover the hidden secrets of your heritage-listed City Hall building with a guided tour of Brisbane’s iconic Clock Tower. The Clock Tower Tour is a “must do” while in Brisbane! For many years, City Hall’s Clock Tower elevated the building to Brisbane’s tallest, offering visitors a magnificent 360 degree view of the city around them. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Deep water running
This is an aquatic workout that uses all major muscle groups. Participants wear a buoyancy belt so there's no need to worry about being in deep water however you do require basic swimming skills. Classes will be held in the outdoor 50m pool. You must bring your own bouyancy belt for this class.
Special walk: Fascination of plants
Join a group of volunteer guides on a fascinating walk through the gardens. Each will share some favourite anecdotes and information about plants in a series of interesting talks. Prepare to be fascinated, amazed and enlightened! Requirements: This walk includes moderate physical activity, including walking slightly longer distances, up gentle slopes and stairs or walking on some uneven surfaces. Some standing periods for guide explanations but no sitting. Please wear a hat, enclosed walking shoes, and be sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen. Meeting point: Meet at the Visitor Information Centre. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
