Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts presents The Magic of Gatsby. Midnight Jazz brings the spirit of the roaring 1920s to life with fresh, vibrant renditions of jazz classics. Formed in Brisbane during their Bachelor of Jazz Music studies, the group features Meredith Brothers (piano), Stephanie Larman (vocals), Jeremy Klysz (double bass), Evan Evans (drums), and Ken Chow (tenor saxophone). Their dynamic performances breathe new life into timeless tunes like Stardust and Ain’t Misbehavin’, blending nostalgia with innovative arrangements. With their deep musical expertise and passion for jazz. Dress up in your best Gatsby outfit and get into the swing of this unforgettable afternoon of rhythm, melody, and toe-tapping swing. Whilst the view has changed significantly over the last 90 years, the time-honoured tradition of “taking a trip up the tower” happily continues at Museum of Brisbane. The Clock Tower Tour includes a ride in one of Brisbane’s oldest working cage lifts, a look behind Australia’s largest analogue clock faces and time to explore the observation platform that shares a unique perspective of your city. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors.
