Lord Mayor's City Hall Concerts presents Artemii Safonov If you are an avid lover of classical piano music, this is the concert for you! Featuring Brisbane-based pianist and composer Artemii Safonov, this recital includes many classical piano works from different music periods and styles, as well as a few pieces in collaboration with guest artist Amalia Safonova, performing as a vocalist and flautist. The repertoire will include pieces by Rachmaninov, Alkan and more, in addition to a few original works by the composer. Artemii Safonov, 18-year-old pianist and composer, has already made a name for himself as a versatile musician across Australia, performing at his latest piano recital held at the Brisbane City Hall (2024). Starting at a young age, Artemii quickly honed his skills as a pianist and began studying at the Queensland Conservatorium, aged 16. Some of his notable performances include his appearance at the Brisbane Parliament House, performance for the Cairns City Council and collaboration with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra at QPAC, in addition to a multitude of performances for music societies and festivals. Artemii has also worked with Opera Queensland and Opera Australia. This Lord Mayor's City Hall Concert is produced by Evolution Productions.
