Gathering presents Benjin Maza Benjin Maza is a proud Meriam, Yidindji, Birri-Gubba and Tanna man based in Magandjin. Benjin is a multi-disciplinary artist, telling stories nationally and internationally, painting pictures through text, song and dance. Performing for the likes of Karul Projects Dance Theatre, Shock Therapy Arts, The Grin and Tonic Theatre Troupe, Dead Puppet Society, Bangarra Dance Theatre and Queensland Theatre. Benjin has written and performed original music throughout South East Queensland, bringing soothing melodies, quick wit and electric energy to tell his story. Join us 12th November at 12pm to 1pm for some free lunchtime entertainment performed by Benjin Maza. This Gathering event is produced by Cre8tiveNations. Gathering showcases Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander performances in the Queen Street Mall. Unique to Brisbane, it is the only Indigenous performance in Australia that is featured weekly in the heart of a major capital city.
