If you love animals and all things pets, join us for a special drop-in pet drawing session with local artist Marcus Nunn and Nicole Crosswell at Museum of Brisbane, as part of Disability Action Week and Council’s Outdoor Gallery exhibition opening week celebrations AMPLIFY ME!. Marcus is known for his precision, using simple, confident lines to instantly capture the true personality and distinctive features of each pet. Drop in to watch Marcus at work, chat about his unique approach, and draw your own pet by following his simple step-by-step guide. Bring photo of your pet, or take inspiration from pictures of the Museum team’s pets. This program is part of Brisbane City Council’s latest Outdoor Gallery exhibition AMPLIFY ME!, which celebrates local Brisbane artists with lived experience of disability, by showcasing their artwork in accessible outdoor spaces across the city. Grounded in inclusive arts practice, the exhibition fosters collaboration, barrier-free creativity and enduring connections, while promoting inclusion and social change in Brisbane’s cultural scene. “The artists’ unique practices and creative voices deeply informed the curatorial framework of this exhibition, shaping every aspect with authenticity and vision. This approach moves beyond tradition, celebrating Brisbane’s rich artistic diversity and thoughtfully highlighting the importance of lived experience at the heart of the city’s cultural story.” AMPLIFY ME! is curated by Nicole Crosswell and will be showing from 21 November 2025 to 25 October 2026. Clock Tower Tour

Remembrance Day Tours
Enjoy a free guided tour of Anzac Square Memorial Galleries for Remembrance Day 2025. We will be offering special 45-minute tours in November exploring stories of Queensland war heroes that exemplify the Anzac spirit and underpin this important day. We've searched through State Library's extensive military collection to bring you some of our favourite stories of courage, resilience, and sacrifice from the home front and battlefields, as we guide you on an interactive journey from the First World War to today. Book now to secure your place on this limited tour. Tours will depart at 10:30am and 12:30pm each Sunday for the month of November. Additional sessions will be available at 12:30pm and 1:30pm on Tuesday 11 November for Remembrance Day. Some of the moving stories you'll hear on this tour include: Hugh Andrew Geraldton Campbell, who joined the 11th Field Company Engineers when he enlisted in late 1915. Engineers, such as Hugh, were the backbone of the AIF during World War I, responsible for building and maintaining critical infrastructure like trenches, railways and roads, which were essential for troop movement and maintaining supply lines. Gladys Moncrieff OBE, a beloved Queensland soprano awarded the Order of British Empire for her wartime contributions. She performed for Australian troops in New Guinea during World War II and Japan and Korea in 1951, as well as working tirelessly to raise money for the war effort and wounded service personnel. A selection of her songs will be playing in the World War II Gallery for visitors to enjoy. Peter John Hegarty, one of 250 First Nations Australians who served during the Vietnam conflict. Born in Cherbourg he served in the Army for six years, nine months of which he spent with the Royal Australian Engineers in Vietnam.
Perfect Little Planet
Children will love this tour of the Solar System through the eyes of a family of aliens on vacation from another star system. Session concludes with a virtual tour of the Brisbane night sky. This show contains some flashing light sequences.

Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Yoga
Focus on a range of movements to relax the mind and body. Stretching, breathing, strength and balance exercises are included by incorporating mat work into the session.

Ella Doyle is a Brisbane artist and advocate whose bold, colourful works explore popular culture, alternative music and the world’s natural mysteries. Guided by her ethos “I believe,” her practice spans digital and traditional media, advocacy and sensory design, supporting comfort, connection and inclusivity for those with diverse sensory needs. “My name is Ella Doyle, and I’m an artist from Brisbane, Queensland. I like to draw, paint and do digital art. I believe in Thylacines and Ghosts. I have designed my sensory room with bean bags, fairy lights, collectables, books, DVDs, plushies, ceramics, a TV, ABC kids’ stuff and the OG Wiggles. I designed it for my friends,” Ella Doyle Ella Doyle’s animation Teresa the Tasmanian Tiger, 2024-2025 is showcased across both Howard Smith Wharves and Museum of Brisbane joining two dynamic Brisbane locations that each blend heritage and contemporary culture. By presenting the work in these spaces, Doyle challenges traditional representations of the Thylacine and keeps its story alive in our cultural memory, exploring the intersection of scientific fact and folklore.
