An introspective and playful exploration of identity; rooted in Filipino tradition, living the queer immigrant experience - halata. Embodying the Filipino philosophy, ‘Bahala Na’, Bahala/o is a 1hr duet performance of dance, theatre and everything in between to explore cultural hybridity, duality and the fluidity of identity. Two distinct performers, one pedestal fan and a whole lot of questions, all set in a dream-like rice world. From independent Filipino-Australian artist, Buddy Malbasias, Bahala/o transcends traditional performance, weaving deeply personal narratives and broader cultural reflections. This evocative new work invites audiences to explore the dualities of existence, illuminating the complexities of living between worlds while embodying the enduring spirit of Bahala Na. Clock Tower Tour

Bookings essential. This program is designed for kids aged 2-7 and serves as the home of Non-Contact Rugby League for children. At Billy's Buddies, they celebrate all sports not just Rugby League! Take a free volunteer guided walk to learn about the plants and features at Brisbane Botanic Gardens Mt Coot-tha. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane’s Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors. Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Find out more about booking walks for groups 10 or more in size. Meeting point: Meet at the Mt Coot-tha Visitor Information Centre. Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
