About This Event
This is The Geranium and Pelargonium Society's 75th Year, with a $5 admission fee. Every year is a resounding success with crowds in the hundreds. This year we were hoping to have the the extra space of the Albion overpass park to handle the expected increase in numbers.....We will have over 600 plants from our members, locally and nationally sourced.There are a workshops from members who are most knowledgeable about all things geraniums who will be available to answer your questions.Preserves, jams and raffles too.Delicious scones, jam and cream with tea or coffee. Home made soup to warm you up.EFTPOS and cash facilities available for purchases.Would love to see all you South East Queensland flower lovers there! Remember the date!

Convict Brisbane Walking Tour
Explore Brisbane's colonial history on this guided tour through the city's convict past.Beginning at the historic Windmill on Wickham Terrace and winding down to the river at Queens Wharf, the tour traces Brisbane's transformation between 1823 and 1842 - from a remote penal outpost to an emerging free town. Hear stories of convicts and commandants, revealing how punishment, labour and authority shaped daily life. Along the way, our guides bring the settlement into focus, illuminating the social fabric and living conditions, as well as the central role of the Brisbane River in sustaining the colony.Woven throughout the tour are First Peoples' responses to British settlement, their enduring connection to Country, and the Frontier wars that directly followed this era. Together, these intersecting stories offer a deeper understanding of how Brisbane grew from its earliest foundations into a regional centre.Tour highlights include: The Windmill, The Brisbane Crest, The Petrie Tableau, Convict-built structures and surviving remnants, Miller Park and the Commissariat Stores, Queens Wharf and, the Brisbane River.This 90‑minute, 1.75km tour is designed to suit most fitness levels, however, please note it includes walking downhill along city streets and across uneven surfaces. Our volunteer guides all have a love for Brisbane's Botanic Gardens and a desire to share their passion and knowledge with visitors.Walking tours for individuals and small groups (up to ten people) are free and do not require a booking. Have a larger group? Deep water aqua
This is an aquatic workout that uses all major muscle groups. Participants wear a buoyancy belt so there is no need to worry about being in deep water, however basic swimming skills are required. You must bring your own buoyancy belt for this class.

Get your passport for a thrilling journey through the Solar System, out of the Milky Way Galaxy and to the edge of the observable universe, returning home via a black hole.
