Around the world in 90 minutes! - Guided walk - City Botanic Garden
City Botanic Gardens - Information Kiosk, Brisbane City
About This Event
Brisbane City Botanic Gardens is home to many rare and unusual botanic species from around the world, as well as from Australia. Some of the oldest trees in these Gardens were the earliest of their species to be planted in Australia, both for their beauty and for their potential commercial value to the new state of Queensland. Today, the City Botanic Gardens has trees which are not only native to exotic countries but are also celebrated as the National Tree of those countries. Take a tour around the World within the magic of the City Botanic Gardens.
Guided walks are led by City Botanic Gardens Volunteer Guides.
Requirements: This walk includes moderate physical activity, including walking slightly longer distances, up gentle slopes and stairs or walking on some uneven surfaces. Some standing periods for guide explanations but no sitting. Please wear a hat, enclosed walking shoes, and be sure to bring a water bottle and sunscreen.
Meeting point: Meet at the Visitor Information Kiosk (next to the Queensland University of Technology's Main Drive pathway).
Note: Walks may be subject to environmental conditions and guide capacity on the day.
